Use of the Art History Images website is subject to the following terms and conditions.

  1. No photo displayed on the Art History Images (AHI) website may be copied or published anywhere else without licensing or explicit written permission.
  2. Licensed photos may only be used as specified in the license and/or in written correspondence with AHI.
  3. No photos displayed on AHI may be used in any context that is defamatory, violent, pornographic or offensive to a reasonable person.
  4. Our licenses provide permission from the photographer only. The Licensee has the sole responsibility for obtaining any releases (e.g. model or property) or other permissions that may be legally required for publication.
  5. The photographer retains full copyright to his or her photos under all licenses.
  6. No photo licensed from AHI may be redistributed or resold under any circumstances.
  7. Although every effort has been made towards accuracy, photo metadata (e.g. captions, keywords, titles) are provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors. AHI disclaims responsibility for any and all losses or disadvantages that result from reliance on this metadata.
